1 DAY WITH ELEPHANTS All customer have to finish breakfast before 7:30 AM We depart from Senmonorom town at 8:00 AM. You will begin the tour by visiting the Potang indeginious village. Here you will learn about the indigenous culture, traditions, lifestyle and farming, all explained by our local tour guide from the area. You will then head over to the Bunong community elephants in the forest. Most of your day is spent here and you will learn how they are looked after as well as their history in this area. We will provide bananas for you to feed the elephants and spend a friendly time together. Lunch is provided at a lovely nature area near the river where you can relax and learn how to cook fresh food in bamboo, taught by a Bunong cooker. At 1:30 PM you will go with Mahout to find the elephants again, and bring them back from the jungle for a wash in the nature pool, which they LOVE! After, we will then go swimming where you can jump in at the waterfall. The program ends around 4:00 PM. However it is possible to spend more time at the nature pool or at the Bunong illage to learn more about these indegineous people. For example: 2 persons cost = $100 $15 is given to the Bonong lady cooker $40 is given to the Elephant community $20 is given for the local Bunong guide $10 (or $20 depending on the numbers of visitors) is used for gasoline and hiring a driver $10 is used for food and water $5 running volunteer school and garbage $10 for our profit |
Two days one night
1. DAY TREK AND 1 DAY WITH ELEPHANT All customers have To finish breakfast before 7:30 and we depart from Senmonorom town to Putang village by Tuk Tuk We walk 18 to 20 km for 5 hours in one day . We start walking from Putang village or Damrey Chhean indegineous village straight to first waterfall which is called Chung Rohach or Lak Pokbrash waterfall depend on the area we start That takes 1 hour and half . It is very nice and beautiful, enclosed by big high trees. We will spend some time there to relax , swimming and jumping . After we relax and swim we continue on and walk 1 hour and half more until we arrive at other stream. Here it is very nice and beautiful along both sides of the stream. The nature, creates beautiful bird music song and then we across stream to other side and take a 15 minute rest. After our rest we walk 1 hour more until we arrive at other stream . It is the last one for our trek before we arrive at Potang village . Here you will see many farms and learn how they grow the rice without water. Here you have two options, to overnight in the jungle or to overnight in the village. If you choose to overnight in the jungle, you will begin your morning with breakfast at 7:30 AM and begin walking at 8:30 AM If you choose to overnight in the village, you will begin your morning with breakfast at 7:30 AM and begin walking at 8:30 AM. As we head to visit elephants, you will learn about the indeginious culture, traditions of Bonong people and elephants by a local English speaking guide. After lunch time we bring elephant to washing and swim together with them in the pool and then finish program around 3:30 pm.
