WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO ?

Ethical trekkings

Why choose to trek with us?

Because we aim to distribute the money as fairly as possible.

We have already created employment for the elephant community owners and the local guides.
The work is shared between the guides, giving each one the opportunity to sustain their family.
Our goal is to create new employment opportunities so more people can become self- reliant.

Mondulkiri Tour acts as a link between the tourists and Potang Village. There is not a fixed salary,
it depends on the number of tourists and the guides are paid each day.

You can have an overview of how the money is spent for one day for 2 people.
When there is a group larger than 3 tourists, we benefit a surplus.

Here is how your money is spent

ELEPHANT TREKKING
$50 per person

For example: 2 persons cost = $100

$15 is given to the Bonong lady cooker
$30 is given to the Elephant community
$20 is given for the local Bunong guide
$10 (or $20 depending on the numbers of visitors) is used for gasoline and hiring a driver
$10 is used for food and water

$10 for our profit

JUNGLE TREKKING
$30 per person

For example: 2 persons cost = $60

$20 is given for the local Bunong guide*
$20 is used for gasoline and hiring a driver
$10 is used for food and water

$10 for our profit

*If the group is larger, then the guide receives extra money
