We will pick you up at your current residence in Senmonorom and gather in Putang Village. IMPORTANT: be ready at 8am!! good shoes, swimsuite, light day backpack Once arrived in the village, our local tour guide will teach you all about our culture, traditions, lifestyle and farming.
After this short briefing, we head over to the Bunong Community Elephants in the jungle. Most of the time, we spend here with the elephants and learn about fauna & flora, but more important the history of this area and the impact of globalization.
We will provide you with bananas to feed the elephants. Be gentle and listen to their communications.
Yourselves will enjoy your own lunch at a lovely nature area near the river where you can relax and learn how to cook fresh food in bamboo, taught by our Bunong cooker.
Lunch break is finished around 1:30pm and we will go to the Mahout where we find the elephants. We bring them to the nature pool, where we wash and bath the elephants - which they LOVE!!! You also would have the chance to jump into the water and swim to the waterfall.
